Both boys and girls basketball teams fell just short of pulling out wins against the Grace Academy Eagles on Dec. 9.
The Lobos Football Team ended this season as the Pacific Coast League “B-8” Football Champions with a 9-1 record and participated in district playoffs.
With good outside shooters and team speed from players who compete in at least two to three sports year-round, Coach MR Buffum said the Lobos may have a chance to place first in league and go on to state.
Last season, the Girls Basketball Team ended with a 11-8 record, earned the title of Northwest B League Champs, placed second at Tri Districts, participated at state and received the District 1 Sportsmanship Award.
The Lopez Island Volleyball team traveled to the Yakima Valley SunDome, Nov. 10 for the 1B State Volleyball Championships. They won two matches.
