    The Lopez Community Fireworks Salmon Barbecue is one of the ways that this all-volunteer organization raises funds for the community’s wonderful fireworks display. We would like to thank Ed Seifert and his wife Joyce for their dedicated service doing a wonderful job organizing this event for many years. We would also like to thank Denise McIntosh for her great job in assisting Ed in this event for the last few years.

    Joshua Marshak, the son of Laurie Teichroew and Jerome Marshak of Lopez, graduated from Macalester during the college’s 119th exercises on the lawn outside Old Main on May 17. Marshak received a liberal arts degree in Biology. Marshak is a graduate of Lopez High School.
