The Whale Museum’s Lecture Series continues

The Whale Museum’s 2009 Lecture Series continues with a talk from Erin Falcone of Cascadia Research on Wednesday August 5 at 7 p.m. Erin’s lecture is titled “Humpback Whales: the Second Most Charismatic Marine Mammal.”

Erin Falcone has worked as a research biologist with Cascadia Research in Olympia, Wash. since July 2003. She began studying the social behavior and population dynamics of humpback whales in the Revillagigedo Archipelago, Mexico in 1995 while attending Humboldt State University in Arcata, Calif. Erin works as the data manager for the SPLASH North Pacific humpback whale study, as well conducting field operations and data management for a variety of other projects at Cascadia from Central America to Alaska.

Founded in 1979, The Whale Museum’s mission is to promote stewardship of whales and the Salish Sea ecosystem through education and research.
