The Lobos girls and boys basketball teams brought home two wins on Dec. 14. The games were played at home against Marysville Getchell High School. The Lopez girls won 37-35 and the boys won 53-47.
It has been one success after another for the Lopez Volleyball team. The Lobos made it to the district competition on Nov. 3 at Cresent High School.
On Nov. 21, Islands’ Oil Spill Association is offering a free class on Lopez for those who want to be an oiled wildlife responder.
The Lopez volleyball team have played well so far says coach Mellonnie Altona.
Despite a day of rain, the annual Lopez Open Tennis Tournament was a resounding success.
There will be no football team at Lopez School this Fall. Larry Berg, football coach, confirmed the fact in an email on Aug 24.
