This year marked the 25th Anniversary of the Round The County sailboat race. Orcas Islanders, San Juan Islanders, and this year the Lopezians even got in on the preparation and running of this popular regatta.
On Oct. 27, the Lopez football team beat Crescent 34 -14.
Lopez faced Highland Christian on Oct. 16. Lopez won all three games, 25-8, 25-14, and 25-16. The third game was tied at 14 apiece until the Lobos stepped on the gas with a series of overpowering serves. Their league leading record stands at 10-0, with three games remaining before the post-season championship tournaments.
On Oct. 16, Lopez Island Viking Football defeated Clallam Bay, 52 -16.
