William Calvin is a Professor in the Neurology specializing in studies of the human brain. He has written several books about the brain including ‘A Brain for all Seasons’ in which he developed the thesis that past dramatic climate changes influenced the evolution of the human brain. Dr. Calvin is concerned we may be facing another such global climate change, but he is optimistic that modern science and technology could halt the trend… if we move fast enough.

The Arthur Whiteley Lectures are open to the public free of charge, though donations to the San Juan Nature Institute are welcomed. For further information about San Juan Nature Institute please visit our website www.sjnature.org.
