Plan to attend the Visitors Bureau’s annual fall ‘Brown Bag’ Lunch at the Lopez Library on Oct. 30, 12-1 p.m., to hear results from the survey distributed to chamber members, and to provide input for 2019 destination marketing and management plans. Help inform the Visitor Bureau’s Board of Directors and Marketing Committee.

In addition, and optional, from 1-1:30 p.m. Scott Hale will give a presentation on “Seizing Slow Season Opportunities to Prepare for the Busy Season.” From operations, to your team, to marketing, to repair and maintenance, proper planning positions owners/managers and their small teams work hard to sustain off-the-charts guest experiences when things get intense. Hale gave a customer service presentation at the Lopez Library last spring on our behalf. He is the chief experience officer for both Brand New Stay (glamping in the San Juans) and Island Inn at 123 West’s (Friday Harbor) marketing manager.
