What a Week!

Okay, first of all Mercury goes into direct motion at midweek, much to our collective relief! It’s been a very zany time for all, and most of us can’t even begin to explain why we’ve been off our rails because it doesn’t make any sense! That’s moving away now and clearing the decks for the spectacular Total Lunar Eclipse on Wednesday!

Our last eclipse on August 27 saw many changes for many people; now another one takes place, again visible in North America. It will be in the sign of Virgo, and we will be able to view it (given clear skies) on Wednesday. Here are the times: The eclipse begins at 5:43 p.m. PST (8:43 p.m. EST), total eclipse will begin at 7:01 p.m. PST (10:41 EST) and the mid-eclipse (the eclipse’s totality) will occur at 7:26 p.m. PST (10:26 EST).

We are hurtling toward that magical year of 2010. These are incredible times, and we are all a part of history. Record your part in it, your observations of it and your feelings about it!

Aries (March 21- April 19): The total Lunar Eclipse takes place in your sector of work and health. Over the next year, you will likely be seeing a major change in your status on both fronts; ultimately this is to your advantage, so be sure you are fit for taking on all comers! Mercury goes direct this week too, and none too soon! Been crazy, hasn’t it?

Taurus (April 20 – May 20): The Total Lunar Eclipse falls in your sector of creativity, marking the end of one cycle and the beginning of another. This calls on you to be flexible and to relax internally. It does not mean “be lazy!” You will need to think quickly on your feet, so consider this time to be the Getting of Wisdom.

Gemini (May 21- June 20): The Total Lunar Eclipse right on the tail of Mercury coming out of retrograde knocks you sideways for a while. Take stock of how much is going on inside of your head as opposed to what is really happening. You need to slow down those thoughts! As hokey as it sounds, meditation is good for you; some time each day to do so would do you a world of good.

Cancer (June 21 – July 22): The Total Lunar Eclipse falls in your sector of learning and communicating. Since the Moon in your Ruler, you may find yourself dissolved into tears for a bit. No harm done there. Mercury’s direct motion this week makes things more stable for you, and you can go ahead and collapse for a bit. Don’t stay there too long, though!

Leo (July 23 – August 22): The Total Lunar Eclipse this week occurs in your sector of finances/resources. This will clear the way for new avenues in terms of making money. Keep a sharp watch and don’t delay responding to an opportunity! Mercury going direct this week in your sector of relationships puts your train back on its rails, so it’s good!

Virgo (August 23 – September 21): The Total Lunar Eclipse this week is in your own sign. This will bring an opportunity to redefine your priorities, end some suffering and gain a new perspective that will ultimately be of great benefit to you. The other good news is that Mercury goes direct this week, so what was snarled up in the traffic of your work/health will be given the “all-clear.”

Libra (September 22 – October 23): The Total Lunar Eclipse takes place in your sector of Endings/New Beginnings. If something has been worrying you, ask for clarity and relief during the Eclipse. Mercury goes direct just before the eclipse, bringing starting insights to you. Turn the page and begin anew; if you are an artist, watch for new and different media to work with and the inspiration to go with it.

Scorpio (October 24- November 22): The Total Lunar Eclipse takes place in your sector of goals/friendships. This brings some things to light that you have been intuiting, so for better or for worse, your perceptions will be confirmed. Watch for some changes in your social circle as new people come in to accompany you to the next level. Mercury goes direct as well, in your sector of Home, so you will once again find sanctuary in your own castle.

Sagittarius (November 23 – December 20): The Total Lunar Eclipse takes place in your sector of career, marking major changes in direction. Since the Moon rules emotions and intuition, it is likely that something you have been longing for will come to pass. Mercury’s direct motion this week punctuates a new direction for you. Go get it! You have plenty of planetary support now.

Capricorn (December 21 – January 21): The Total Lunar Eclipse brings relief to you in your sector of travel/higher learning. Where you have felt held back, you will be able to move forward on your own terms. Couple that with Mercury going direct this week in your sector of finances, you are set up for a mighty nice time. Count your blessings!

Aquarius (January 22 – February 20): The Total Lunar Eclipse takes place in your sector of joint assets/intimacy. You will receive information regarding monetary gain shortly, and it looks like the change of tactics you had to adopt will work well. Mercury going direct in your sign this week will also set your feet back on a more comfortable path. It’s good!

Pisces (February 21 – March 20): The Total Lunar Eclipse occurs in your sector of marriage/relationships. A turning over of the old and stale into the new and fresh is just the medicine the doctor ordered for these dreary, stormy winter days. Mercury’s direct motion in your sector of Endings/New Beginnings brings a real focus on renewal. Make it happen!
