The Economic Development Council and Washington state governmental agencies invite business owners, startup entrepreneurs and managers to a free event, “From Start to Smart in Business,” on Wednesday, Feb. 19, from 5-7 p.m., simulcast online. A light meal will be served.
The workshop will provide information around governmental regulations, increasing income, finding solutions to problems and avoiding future regulatory and compliance issues. Attendees will have the opportunity to bring questions on issues that they are facing, in an anonymous setting.
Agencies invited include the Governor’s Office for Regulatory Innovation & Assistance, Labor & Industries, the Department of Revenue, the Secretary of State’s office, the Department of Commerce, the Department of Enterprise Services, the Office of Minority & Women’s Business Enterprises and the Employment Security Department. The workshop is part of the state’s Small Business Requirements & Resources program, an effort to assist business owners and entrepreneurs.
The event is hosted by the EDC and sponsored by ORIA, Friday Harbor House, San Juan County and the Town of Friday Harbor.
