In honor of National Card and Letter Writing Month, Lopez Library is running a free calligraphy class. It will be taught by Joyce Lyster, Lopez resident and calligrapher for more than 30 years. “It is designed really as a taster,” says Library Director Lou Pray, “at the very least people should be able to leave the class knowing how to address an envelop beautifully.”
All the supplies are provided for participants although you are encouraged to bring your own calligraphy pen if you have one. Running on April 28, the class will begin at 7 p.m. and restricted to 15 people. To register, call 468 2265.
