New Moon and Another Saturn/Uranus Opposition

New Moon and Another Saturn/Uranus Opposition

Oh, boy! Now things get interesting and the handwriting is on the wall. Here we go. This week the New Moon is in Aries, and this brings that refreshing sense of clarity that we get this time of year despite dealing with taxes. But the big news now is restrictive Saturn once again opposing mighty, rebellious Uranus in the third of four such oppositions that began in August ’08 and triggered the domino effect of our global economic crisis.

Don’t underestimate the power of this opposition; rather, watch what’s going on “out there.” The fourth opposition will occur in July, but both planets will have changed signs. The current Tea Party shenanigans are likely to take a violent turn, since this situation is building steam and folks are at war emotionally with the political scene. Let’s not go there, okay? When I was living in Mexico I was warned not to discuss three things: Religion, politics and football (soccer). I didn’t. At this moment we have an enormous number of people getting gnarly with only partial information or downright misinformation. Emotions are running high and longtime anger is igniting like a match to gas. This isn’t new, it’s been brewing for a very long time. Let’s step back and look at it in an objective manner, remembering that while peace may be elusive “out there,” we can have it within ourselves and remove that part from the collective by not engaging. Just watch for now. It’s going to get very interesting.

Aries (March 21- April 19): This week’s New Moon in your sign packs a punch for you as an obstacle is removed (possibly within your own mind) and the way forward is shown. Mercury and Venus continue to help you on the financial front, so get everything in order this week because next week Mercury goes retrograde and will mess everything up for three weeks. Don’t wait, get it done now!

Taurus (April 20 – May 20): This week’s New Moon occurs in your sector of Endings, and you will be able to put something to rest. You can feel the door closing. Your Ruler Venus in your sign is really helping you now, and your mind is quick on the draw. Move a bit faster than normal this week because next week Mercury goes retrograde in your sign and you want to be on top of things as much as possible. Double check!

Gemini (May 21- June 20): The New Moon in your sector of friends/goals brings fresh information in terms of action to take. Whatever information you glean, act on it now because your Ruler Mercury will be retrograde next week and unless you were born with Mercury retrograde, you may spend the rest of the month feeling like you are in shackles of some kind. Try not to take it out on others.

Cancer (June 21 – July 22): The New Moon in your sector of career brings lateral movement in your work; it could be that your current role is coming to an end and you will be doing something else or you may take on more work from someone who’s been laid off. A female figures prominently in this. You have an opportunity to work on long term goals but wrap up the prelims this week because Mercury goes retrograde next week and you need to stake your claim now. Now.

Leo (July 23 – August 22): The New Moon in your sector of expansion/travel/spirituality unlocks secrets you’re ready to receive now, and this ignites your ability to relate to others. On the career front, activity is solid and good, but Mercury goes retrograde next week in this part of your chart, and that can mess stuff up between the work/home balance. Whatever it is that needs to be signed or sent off, do it now so you don’t get bogged down later.

Virgo (August 23 – September 21): Stern Saturn’s retrograde brings him back in your sign toward the end of the week, giving you the opportunity to reexamine something that occurred last year. You have communicative Mercury and powerful Venus on your side as they give you the foundation to stand on, beaming solid facts your way. Mars in your sector of Endings brings you the courage to make a stand.

Libra (September 22 – October 23): The New Moon brings an issue to a close in your sector of relationships. You have an opportunity to start with a new slate. Stern Saturn’s retrograde brings him once again in opposition with chaotic Uranus in your sectors of Endings and work/health, the third of four oppositions between these two. Once again, adjustments that began in August 2008 will need to be addressed. This opposition is a “Big Picture” one and its effects are long reaching so be careful how you approach these matters.

Scorpio (October 24- November 22): The New Moon occurs in your sector of work/health, revealing the weak points and giving you the chance to make corrections. Mercury and Venus still hold court in your sector of relationships, and Mercury will go retrograde there next week so whatever is still pending in terms of paperwork or buying an electrical device or appliance, get it done this week! The Saturn/Uranus opposition that wreaked havoc in August ’08 is back again; things may get gnarly with friends/goals.

Sagittarius (November 23 – December 20): This week’s New Moon occurs in your sector of creativity, so watch for new and exciting ways to express who you are! This is a very good thing since Stern Saturn and chaotic Uranus once again move into an opposition in your sectors of career/home; for you personally it won’t be as it was in August of ’08 when the first opposition occurred. Now it’s about settling in and weeding out the riffraff. Keep smiling and clean your room!

Capricorn (December 21 – January 20): The New Moon in your sector of Home makes way for you to get that spring cleaning done and spruce the place up. As spring keeps trying to happen, your mood is lifted. Your Ruler Saturn in your sector of Expansion/Spirituality again opposes rebellious Uranus in your sector of Communication/Thinking. This sets up the necessary tension to spur you into action, and if you manage to stick to your ethics and values, you’ll come out on top.

Aquarius (January 21 – February 20): The New Moon brings golden silence in your sector of communicating/thinking. Solutions will come on their own if you can quit thinking or analyzing for a minute (yes, only a minute). Saturn once again moves into an opposition with your Ruler Uranus across your sectors of shared assets and finances, respectively. Watch where you step; this is a continuation of the August ’08 opposition and the 3rd of four. You should get warning signs now and be able to take corrective action.

Pisces (February 21 – March 20): The New Moon silences the noise in your sector of money this week, so it appears you’ve finally gotten your taxes out of the way. The big news is retrograde Saturn backing into the 3rd of four oppositions with Uranus who is in your sign. This brings your relationships into focus once again, and if you are in the process of a divorce or breakup, the next installment will appear now to be dealt with. Fortunately, you are resilient.
