Adapting/Embracing

At the time of this writing, I’ve been back in the U.S. for one week; I am keeping an ear to the ground to see what the pulse is here, and the pulse is very different than in Mexico. One thing I see is that we are less adaptable than our counterparts to the south. We embrace more, but adapt less well, probably because our national mind-set is really pretty stable in terms of how life should be. My people to the south are extremely adaptive people due to the enormous changes in their country and continuous political and civil upheaval. However, they do not embrace in the way we do. Very stark contrasts.

The new of the week astrologically is that powerful Venus (self-esteem, empowerment) will be conjunct expansive Jupiter in the sign of Pisces. These two acting as one force brings an amazing influence of moving forward and a rare all-around happiness with results of something. The last time this occurred was December 2008 in the sign of Capricorn. The results of this conjunction will ultimately be very good, so everyone take heart and focus on the depth of spirit and the acts of harmony that open the door to miracles. What is put into motion now will bear fruit all the way to the next Venus/Jupiter conjunction which will be in May 2011 in the sign of Aries. This is a great, super time to bury hatches, forgive, release constraints and limitations, and endeavor to think of options, alternatives and more effective ways of approaching others.

Aries (March 21- April 19): This week looks to be much better and more settling; your sector of Endings/New Beginnings is singing due to powerful Venus receiving compassionate signals from benevolent Jupiter there. Whatever is passing from your life is something that will transform into a higher form for you. Friends should be coming forward on your behalf if you are in conflict; communicative Mercury in that sector opposes Mars (retrograde) in your sector of creative expression/children. This will be the spice of the week for you!

Taurus (April 20 – May 20): Your sectors of Home and Career are at odds with each other this week due to retrograde Mars in opposition with Mercury in those two sectors, respectively. If you are trying to come up with that kick of creativity, you will have to work extra hard because Mars just isn’t beaming out its usual energy; think outside the box. What’s lovely is your Ruler Venus being hand in hand with Jupiter in your sector of goals/friends. Someone is going to bail you out and be of enormous help to you.

Gemini (May 21- June 20): Your sector of career is lit up due to Venus and Jupiter in conjunction there. This is a good thing for you, and you may get the break you’ve been looking for this week. Be prepared! Your Ruler Mercury is in opposition to retrograde Mars in your sectors of expansion/travel and thinking/short trips, respectively. If you are in the process of furthering your education, this is a good thing, and your mind is sharp and focused while you may feel that your energy is lagging. Pace yourself.

Cancer (June 21 – July 22): Powerful Venus and benevolent Jupiter join forces in your sector of expansion/travel/spirituality this week, and this will be very good for you as you regain equilibrium. Your mind will be able to see a bigger picture that will calm you down. Mercury (communication/thinking) goes into an opposition with retrograde Mars in your sectors of money and intimacy, but this is actually to our advantage, so consider the check in the mail. Very nice!

Leo (July 23 – August 22): Mercury moves into an opposition with retrograde Mars who is in your sign; this is only a blip on the radar, but will give you an opportunity for better communication with your spouse. Look for innovative ways to move the relationship forward and see if you can strike new ground together. The lovely news is esteem-building Venus hand in hand with benevolent Jupiter in your sector of health. If you or someone close to you has a health problem, it will be addressed and dealt with effectively, or you may pay closer attention to your health in a good way.

Virgo (August 23 – September 21): Your sector of relationships is really amplified this week with Jupiter and Venus being the perfect couple there. This encourages a new dimension in all significant relationships that will exceed boundaries previously established. Since Venus and Jupiter are both involved, it’s good! Your Ruler Mercury is in your sector of health and work now, opposing retrograde Mars in your sector of Endings. This could mean something new will be introduced into your workplace, or perhaps an important meeting that will be to your liking.

Libra (September 22 – October 23): Mercury is in a lovely aspect with Saturn who is in your sign, so your sector of Home is accentuated and the place of lively communication. Your Ruler Venus is hand in hand with lucky Jupiter in your sector of work/health, so if you’ve had a health scare it is likely to be only that and has a good outcome. This looks to be a fine week for you, so enjoy it and use your strategic skills to enhance it all with that natural class of yours!

Scorpio (October 24- November 22): You are one of the lucky Water signs to see Venus and Jupiter acting as one soothing force in your sector of creative expression/children. This will lessen intensity around you and relieve whatever stresses you’ve been experiencing. Communicative Mercury fires up your sector of Home, and you may be pondering a new gadget that will make your life easier. This will be a good thing! You know how to do your homework in terms of finding exactly what you need, so we won’t worry about you this week. Have a good one!

Sagittarius (November 23 – December 20): This week sees your home situation setting down in a very good way; Venus and your Ruler Jupiter join forces to make your home situation much better after Uranus’ chaos over the past several years. Communicative Mercury occupies your sector of short trips/thinking/communicating now and is opposing retrograde Mars in your sector of expansion; your excursions will be business oriented and productive, giving you a feeling of really having accomplished something!

Capricorn (December 21 – January 20): This week Venus and Jupiter conjoin to beam soothing vibes into your sector of thinking/communicating. Any encounters you have will be based around something of deep meaning, and calm will prevail. A spiritual dimension is added there, so watch your dreams! Mercury is opposing retrograde Mars now, and is in your sector of money. You may be looking at something you’d done before on impulse that needs to be changed for the better. You will have a very productive week, so smile through it and know that you’re on your way to solutions!

Aquarius (January 21 – February 20): Mercury in your sign should be sharpening your senses on all levels, but this week you can feel the dragging anchor of this planet’s opposition with retrograde Mars in your sector of relationships. Could be that you are ready to go on something but your spouse is lagging behind or even balking. What’s going for you is powerful Venus conjoining lucky Jupiter in your sector of finances. Wow, this may be a confusing but very auspicious time for you, Aquarius!

Pisces (February 21 – March 20): Powerful Venus joins Jupiter in your own dear sign this week! This is the week to really put it out there, Fishie! You have everything it takes this week to start the ball rolling, and you don’t need a committee to tell you that! If you’ve been waiting to launch something, wait no more. Do not procrastinate this week! Mercury in your sector of Endings brings doubt to a close as you find the dragging anchor and pull it up. Abaft the beam, matey! Raise the sails!
