The Economic Development Council has opened preregistration for an Aging in Place Construction course as part of their Trades Training Initiative. This course is open to participants from San Juan County, ages 18 and over.
The upcoming course, taught by Andy Arrants with the Building Industry Association of Washington, is for individuals who want to learn construction methods to benefit people who require home construction modifications for aging, or for medical complications in the home, including ramps, guardrails, and other modifications.

Receive free help with the Working Families; Tax credit application
Quynh-Anh Nguyen from the Washington Department of Revenue will be on-site to assist community members in accessing the Washington Working Families Tax Credit on Thursday, May 29, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Main Salon at San Juan County Library.
