After retaining all our seniors from last year, Lobos girls basketball is strong and growing, with 17 participants.

This year we have three seniors: Glory Westervelt, Ruby Ervin-Mclean and Josie Luckhurst-Slattery; three juniors: Betty Burt, Dani Arnott and Evelyn Aguilar-Clavel; eight sophomores: Iris Ervin-Mclean, Ruby Sausman, Saskia Fischer, LuLu Velasquez, Fatima Velazquez, Kylie Willemson, Alivia Trani and Ava Bennett; and three freshmen: Lola Woodington, Amia Poole and Elsie Leering.

It is so exciting to have such a large group of athletes who want to learn about basketball. With 10 returners, we feel like we will have a good chance for a very successful season. We have been working on our offense for three years now and are getting stronger every year.

This year we have changed our defense and have been focusing on it in practice. We have high hopes that the defensive change and a strong bench will give us an edge to go further in the postseason. We are so excited to see what this team can do if they work hard and work together.
