In preparation for a potential levy on the November ballot, Lopez Rec has scheduled a series of public listening sessions in late June through July.
These informal sessions are designed to give residents a direct line of communication with district representatives.
Residents are encouraged to drop by any of the following scheduled sessions:
• Tuesday, June 30, 10:30 a.m. to noon; commissioners: Chom Greacen and Lynn Slaughter; picnic tables at the Village Green.
• Tuesday, July 7, 2:30-3:30 p.m.; commissioners: Brady Smith and Patsy Haber; Lopez Island Library meeting room.
• Wednesday, July 15, 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; commissioners: Jenny and Greacen; picnic tables at the Village Green.
• Wednesday, July 15, 7-8 p.m.; commissioners: Slaughter and Haber; Lopez Island Library meeting room.
• Saturday, July 18, noon to 1:30 p.m.; hosts: Haber and Slaughter; Islandale picnic tables.
