Erosion has a solution | Letters

Erosion of beach roads and railroad beds is an old problem. The usual solution is visible from the Anacortes ferry dock; the rock-work along the beach from Ship Harbor toward Anacortes, built by the Great Northern Railway about a century ago to stop the erosion of the railroad line which served the cannery at Ship Harbor and the sawmill in Burrows Bay.
