I served as a woman Marine during World War II. In the following 10 years I served as a personal assistant to several high ranking generals, learning a great deal about our military establishment and what it costs.

Isn’t there a fireworks ban? | Letter

I THOUGHT there is a law against fireworks in San Juan County. Am I wrong? Saturday night July 5 and the fire crackers and bottle rockets in my neighborhood are creating such chaos in our Westview Apartments.

Is anyone out there (besides me) upset about not having any phone service on July 2? If you’ve lived here long enough you won’t miss the experience of being without CenturyLink and having internet. It’s like a power outage – almost always happens when you are awake.

I don’t know about you but with office billing, research for my patients, personal contacts with family and friends and some online shopping , I must spend at least 2 hours a day on the computer.
