Virginia Ann Henninger-Wall | Passages

Virginia Ann Henninger-Wall, born Sept. 9, 1958, in San Diego, California, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, Aug. 27, after succumbing to cancer.

“Ginny” spent her formative years in Los Angeles with her parents Virgil and Jean Wall, and siblings David, Chris and Cathy Wall. She attended school at Bellagio Elementary, Emerson Junior High and University High School. After high school, Ginny moved back to her birthplace county of San Diego where she received an Associate’s degree from Palomar College and enjoyed the beach life in the communities of Del Mar and Solana Beach for the next 20 years.

Ginny moved to the Pacific Northwest in 1988, settling in the Kirkland area of Seattle. After visiting the San Juan Islands on a vacation, she fell in love with the beauty and tranquility of the islands and took up residence on Lopez Island where she married and raised her son, Christopher Henninger.

Ginny spent the last 18 years of her life with her beloved partner MR Buffum, performing accounting for many of the island’s construction companies until her recent rapid onset of cancer. Ginny will be remembered by all of her family and friends as a devoted mother, who conducted her life with elegance, grace and beauty.

She now joins her father Virgil in watching over their surviving family and friends with the wisdom they both possess. Ginny left us too soon and will be dearly missed by all who knew her for her generous warmth and compassion for others.

We will remember and love you always Ginny.
