Back when the winds were howling last week, I came back from a walk in the late afternoon and found a huge white fir leaning on a smaller fir — both swaying in the wind and directly pointed over my house. Upon inspection, I saw the roots of the white fir pushing up the soil, straining to get out. In a panic, I called Zack, tree expert extraordinaire, and he came right over with chainsaw and equipment. With thirty minutes of sawing in the dark of night and doing a series of complicated cuts, he turned the tree totally around and it fell across my yard and not my house. It felt like a miracle. Thank you, Zack. My house and I are forever grateful. You are my hero!!
