Remembering Bosko Bailey | Letters

He called me “laddie” when I came to him for advice or a favor. Passing of a legend. I have been watching the news and not seen a note on the passing of Bosko Bailey on Lopez Island. He was well known for building unique sailboats, and watched over many boats and homes and land. He was best known to everyone for cruising around in his white Ford pickup that was fully equipped as a shop. He latched a vase to his rear view mirror and would pick wildflowers to hand out randomly to people he came across. That is only the beginning of the stories, as I’m sure you know if you have visited Lopez. Everyone on Lopez new Bosko. Big broad-brimmed straw hat and a smile.
