Paul for port

I have had the great fortune of knowing Paul Henrikson for nearly 40 years since his arrival on Lopez. I was immediately impressed with him. We became fast friends and my admiration for him has only increased through the years. Paul has a calm and confident demeanor, but most importantly, is a man of integrity.

Time and again he has proven himself to be a person who leads with equanimity. Paul offers valuable skills such as being a good listener who deeply considers the issues at stake.

I have no doubt that he will continue in the same professional manner if elected as our Port Commissioner. I strongly encourage community members of Lopez

to take a moment to go to his “Paul for Port” site and read “about him” and his “perspectives.”

I feel that we are very fortunate to have such an overqualified candidate!

Lopez Island

Thank you, Lopez voters

To the voters of Lopez Island, thank you for giving me the opportunity to educate the island as to the economic possibilities Lopez could embrace should we recognize the words of our Washington state constitution. Ports are mandated to be economic engines of the community. As an attorney, my mandate was to present the legal truths to my clients and the choice of action was solely theirs. Change can be difficult but can be accomplished in a thoughtful manner. Thank you to all those who have openly supported a new vision of the port, encompassing more than a safe airport and to those who have given their support anonymously. The island has real needs and the port could be the catalyst for meeting those needs.
