Lobos wrap up season with top awards

The Lobos Football Team ended this season as the Pacific Coast League “B-8” Football Champions with a 9-1 record and participated in district playoffs.

The Lobos Football Team ended this season as the Pacific Coast League “B-8” Football Champions with a 9-1 record and participated in district playoffs.

This year, the Lobos received the honor of the “John Trotto Team Sportsmanship Award.”

The officials work every game from 4A-1B, and rate teams and coaching staff in terms of sportsmanship, taking into account the attitude and respect shown toward game officials and opponents as the determining factor.

The Lobos also received accolades in the Pacific Coast League All Opponent Football Selections.

Larry Berg was named coach of the year.

Senior running back Tommy Kramer, senior defensive back Keldon Jardine, and senior linebacker Tommy Kramer were selected on the first team.

Sophmore offensive lineman Michael Hobi, junior defensive lineman Daniel Jenison, senior defensive end Matthew Haber, and junior defensive lineman James Brant received honorable mention.
