Lobos boys basketball begins season in Friday Harbor

The Lopez Lobos boys basketball team’s first game of the season was Friday, Dec. 6 at the Friday Harbor Tip-Off Classic against Toledo. The team then stayed home to take on Cedar Park Christian on Monday, Dec. 9. The next game for the team is at Shoreline Christian at 4 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 13.

The team this year is comprised of four freshmen, two sophomores and four seniors. All four seniors are returning players from last year’s team.

Senior Conner Avery, number four, is a 5-foot-10-inch guard. Wearing the number five is Lichen Johnson, a 6-foot-1-inch tall senior guard and forward. Quinn Steckler, number 24, is a 6-foot-1-inch tall senior forward and 6-foot-1-inch tall guard and forward senior Reese Hamilton wears number 32.

Also returning this year is sophomore Tarvis Arnott, who reps the number 42, is 6 feet tall and plays forward. New to the team is number 22, sophomore Joshua Kramer, a 5-foot-11-inch tall forward.

Wearing the number one is Andrew Auckland, a 5-foot-4-inch tall freshman guard. In the number 11 jersey is 5-foot-8-inch freshman guard Cary Malachi. Freshman Canyon Hernandez-Doherty is a 5-foot-10-inch guard wearing number 12 and 5-foot-9-inch tall forward Ellery Jones wraps up the freshman class in number 20.
