Barbara Earle Lloyd | Passages

Barbara Earle Lloyd, 77, passed away at her parents’ home (which was always home to her) on Lopez Island on Monday, July 31, 2017. She spent her last days surrounded by her family, friends and lots of love. She was born in Billings, Montana on July 18, 1940 to Kenneth and Martha (Gloudeman) Lloyd.

Barbara served the Island community for many years at the San Juan County Health Department, before retiring and moving to Anacortes. She was a Master Gardener and loved planting new florae. She had a great love for animals, even the ones that stole her apples from the family orchard.

Barbara was wild at heart with a great sense of humor. That’s what we loved about her the most. She knew how to have fun.

So, she decided to go out with a bang. Literally! Her father built two canons. Barbara requested to be cremated and be placed with her parents; but “take just a little bit of my ashes” she said and fire me off in that canon!

She is going out with a bang!

Barbara will never be forgotten and certainly always thought of especially when we hear a cannon! Barbara’s words to live by: “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”

She is preceded in death by her parents. Barbara is survived by her children: Ken Lloyd, David Watkins, Brandon Baguio, Neddy Baguio and Debbie Tangen; four grandchildren: Samantha &Edward Fitzimons and Allen and Elias Baguio; and her sister, Suzy McCoy.

Arrangements are in the care of Evans Funeral Chapel of Anacortes, WA. To share a memory of Barbara please sign the online guest register at www.evanschapel.com
