The second annual “Wurst” Golf Tournament and Music Fest held on Saturday, Sept. 24, at the Lopez Island Golf Course produced an exciting finish – a tie. After 18 holes of “Best Ball”, two teams recorded net scores of 49. In a “blind chip” playoff (also very close), the following first and second places were awarded:

» First Place Team: Ron Brummel, Chris Halpin, Tom Harron and Trace Manneman

» Second Place Team: Roy Paswaters, Jack Walker, Pam Ultican and Tim Ultican

» Other winners included: Closest to the pin: Men’s Steve Levy, Women’s Rose McKelvey

» Closest to the line: Men’s Jim Pinkham, Women’s Sue Crockett

» Closet to the stake: Men’s Jerry Harding, Women’s Sue Crockett

» Longest Drive: Men’s Trace Manneman, Women’s Debbie Stanford

Following the award ceremony, party goers enjoyed an Oktoberfest-style food court and music by local bands Blue Steal and Sweet T. All proceeds from the golf tournament and music fest benefit Lopez Children’s Center.
