On behalf of patients in our community’s hospitals, thank you Lopez for the successful blood drive!

During the blood drive on March 11, Puget Sound Blood Center registered 41 donors, seven of whom were first time donors! Wow!

Participation in making this blood drive a success will bring comfort, healing, and health to many patients in our community.

Special thanks to Fritz Baesman for organizing the drive, the Lopez Island Lions Club for their support and blood drive sponsorship, and the Lopez Community Church for providing the drive location.

Each weekday, 900 people must donate blood to meet the needs of patients in western Washington hospitals.

The next blood drive on Lopez Island will be on June 3; mark your calendars now as a reminder to help meet that need.
