All poets and newcomers to poetry are invited to join “Poetry Matters: Reading and Writing Poetry,” a three-week class, Jan. 15, 22, and 29. The class meets on Tuesdays from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Orcas Island Library.

Writing exercises will complement the readings. There is no text. Copies of poems will be provided. The fee is $5, to cover Library registration and copies. Register at the library. All are welcome.
