Lopez Golf Club fundraising event brought in thousands

The second annual Lopez Island Golf Club tournament, auction, and dinner on June 29 was a huge success. The auction brought in thousands of dollars – a 50 percent increase over last year. The event had 68 golfers and fed over 100 people. The evening’s great cooks, led by Ed Gutkowski and Ole Snoer, prepared a tasty seafood dinner.

The auction included many items such as golf lessons, four one-year memberships, a Chinese dinner for eight people, fishing adventures, and exclusive use of the golf course for a day.

Dick and Barbara Reiswig, tournament chairmen and auctioneers, wish to thank all who were involved in the event, including players, dinner guests, donors, volunteers, bidders, and merchants who all made this a fantastic day.
