Submitted by Stewardship Network of the San Juans

Each year the Stewardship Network of the San Juans presents Good Steward Awards to individuals and/or organizations that merit recognition for exemplary work as stewards of the natural resources of the islands and the Salish Sea.

This year the Stewardship Network chose to recognize the Lopez, Orcas and San Juan Island School Districts and the Spring Street International School for their achievements in educating and engaging students about the elements of the terrestrial and marine environments that compose the local ecosystems.

We congratulate the school administrations, staff, teachers and students for the 2016 Good Steward Awards.
