The San Juan Island Chamber of Commerce Christmas Committee is busy with plans for the 2008 Island Lights Fest Christmas Decorating Contest in the town of Friday Harbor.

Entrants will be divided into five groups: Retail, Real Estate, Accommodations, Lodging, and Services. There are no entry fees.

Festive ribbons will be awarded to the first, second and third prize winners for best decorated in each of the above groups.

Judging for the contest will be Thursday evening, Dec. 4, starting at 5 p.m.

The deadline for entry is Monday, Dec. 1. Pick up entry forms at the Chamber office, call 378-5240 or email chamber@sanjuanisland.org.
