San Juan County Health & Community Services and Fish for Teeth are partnering up to launch a new dental program which serves Medicaid and uninsured residents on San Juan Island. The community dental clinics sponsored by Fish for Teeth will start April 20 in Friday Harbor.
Community dental clinics are available for those on Apple Health (Medicaid) or uninsured and unable to afford dental care. If you are interested in this service, you can fill out an online application and a HCS staff member will reach out to you to schedule an appointment. If you are having trouble filling out the application online, please call our front office at 360-378-4474 and we will be happy to assist you.
Dates for Orcas Island community dental clinics are still pending and will be announced as soon as they are finalized. Lopez, Shaw, and other island residents are welcome to travel to Friday Harbor or Orcas Community Dental clinics. If you need access to dental care please fill out an online application and a HCS staff member will call you once scheduling begins.
The upcoming clinic dates for San Juan Island are:
Saturday, April 20
Saturday, June 8
Friday, Sept. 20
Friday, Nov. 8
Thank you to our community partners that support our efforts to provide dental services to San Juan County residents. Access to care is a top community-identified need from our Community Health Assessment, which you can learn more about on our Engage site.
