COVID-19 resources for the Lopez community

Lopez community organizations are here for islanders who are in need of assistance during the coronavirus. Find information about what is available and how to obtain these services below.

Volunteering

• All volunteering is being coordinated through Lopez Island Recovers, https://lopezisland.recovers.org. Please visit the website to input your talents and availability. Organizations will search this database and contact you if your services are needed. Your personal information will be kept safe.

Donations

• Monetary donations at this time can be sent to the Lopez Island Family Resource Center, http://lifrc.org. Donation alternatives will be made available via the resource center website in the future.

• Donations of supplies is being managed through Lopez Island Recovers, https://lopezisland.recovers.org. A button upper in the middle left of the main screen lets you list your needed supplies so that others can find it. Your personal information will be kept safe.

Food Access

• Basic Food and essential needs are delivered by Lopez Island Family Resource Center, http://lifrc.org.

• Restaurants and bakeries hours open, menus, gift certificates, orders for takeout and delivery, if available at https://LopezEats.com.

• Lopez School is working with students and families, delivering meals as needed.

• Lopez Senior Services is delivering meals to identified qualified community members. For more information, contact Ronie Wilke at 360-468-2421.

• Lopez Farmers Market will be open at the Grange on some Saturdays, details available at https://LopezEats.com.

Food Production

• Lopez Garden Club will be working with homeowners to help folks start gardens.

• Farmers should contact the Lopez Island Family Resource Center, http://lifrc.org.

Health and Home

• Assistance signing up for medical insurance, also therapy and counseling services offered by Lopez Island Family Resource Center, http://lifrc.org.

• Rents, utilities, mortgage assistance offered through Lopez Island Family Resource Center, http://lifrc.org.

Economics
