Lopez Village Association (LVA) will continue to support the park through an annual contribution of capital funds through 2014. The Lopez Chamber will continue to operate the park under a contract with County Parks and will pay park maintenance and operations expenses until 2018. Park management and use will be much the same under the County Parks regulations.

During the early 1990s, the county worked in partnership with the LVA and the Lopez Chamber to develop the restroom and shower facilities at Lopez Village Park. In 1993, the LVA entered into a management agreement with the Chamber to manage the park facilities for 10 years. Toward the end of the agreement period, in early 2003, negotiations began on future ownership and management of the park and developed facilities.
