Woodmen Hall fundraiser: 5:30 – 7:30 p.m., Woodmen Hall. The meal will raise funds for a new sound system for the hall. Lance Brittain will perform on stage. Dinner will include homemade, authentic Italian spaghetti sauce by Jim Ghinazzi, made with local beef (vegetarian and gluten free on request). There will also be salad, garlic bread, dessert, coffee or juice included wine and beer available. Tickets are $15 for a single adult, $25 per couple,$4 for children age 4 – 17. Lopez Island Garden Club: 9:30 a.m., Woodmen Hall. BooShoot Gardens in Mount Vernon will be featured at the club’s November meeting. The topic is “Bamboo that Behaves.” The speaker, David Binczewski, will provide information about the value bamboo provides for the planet. Reception for group show, “In The Holiday Spirit: New Work, Silent Auction, Raffle Kick-Off.” Place your bids for your favorite artists’ work and purchase raffle tickets to support the gallery’s Lopez High School Art Scholarship. The annual Wreath and Green Sale, sponsored by the Lopez Union Cemetery Association, will begin on 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., seven days a week. Proceeds go to the maintenance of Center Church and the cemetery The sale will run through Dec 4.
