Again this January, San Juan County Parks is offering a “residents only” reservation opportunity for camping anytime in 2008.

As an incentive to go camping locally, County Parks is encouraging residents to make their prime-time summer camping reservations between now and Jan. 25. Beat the summer rush and book now! This offer is available for camping at San Juan, Odlin (Lopez), and Shaw Island County Parks. Camping reservations for the general public will begin in March.

All the county campgrounds are located in waterfront parks with spectacular views, beautiful beaches, and small craft boat launches. Plan ahead and reserve the best camp sites now. Proof of residency will be required (verifiable local address and phone number, driver’s license, or voter registration).
