A MURDER was committed at Woodmen Hall!? Who would do such a thing? Why? How? Oh! I get it.
We all meet at Woodmen Hall on Saturday, May 28, to eat fabulous food, watch a play and when the murder happens, we’ll figure out “whodunit” together. What? We won’t solve the murder together? The tables are in competition to see who can win some exciting prizes? You’re on!
An original murder mystery written by local playwright Robert O’Connell will feature several well known local personalities: Mary Wondra; Gary Alexander; Larry Cochran; Nancy Wynen; Carol Jones; Sean O’Connell; Khorsian Blanc-Ridings; and Mike Hobie. Lance Brittain will serenade before dinner.
The short play will take place while you enjoy a fabulous spaghetti dinner, complete with salad, breads and desert, prepared by our favorite chef, Jim Ghinazzi. Beer and wine will also be available.
The audience will then have the chance to talk to the dastardly suspects to see if you can determine whodunit, why, and how. The table who solves the crime correctly, the fastest, will be treated to an exciting gift from The Friends of Woodmen Hall.
Grab some friends and come see how good of a detective you really are. It will be a fun evening filled with laughter, good food and great people, all to support the improvements and updates of the Hall. The new rear exit ramp and electrical upgrades are in the works and will be completed this summer.
This is a bit of a change from The Friends’ normal Memorial Day weekend event. We have moved the auction and yard sale to August 28. You will have the opportunity then to find that perfect item you’ve been searching for. Look for drop off dates and times for your donations later this summer.
Come enjoy a fun evening with us at Woodmen, a local treasure. Tickets are $25 each and are available at Paper Scissors, or by calling 468-3275. We will offer a gluten free pasta and vegetarian sauce on request. Please call and let us know if you would like one of those options.
