Tarkaa comes to Lopez

On April 30 Woodmen Hall will play host to the second in the “Home on the Grange” concerts. The show will feature “Taarka” who played to a packed Grange in last year’s concert series. Because the show will be in Woodmen this year, the larger pace will allow both sitting and dancing.

The band has been described as a virtuosic ensemble of violin, mandolin, cello, upright bass. Their performances are high-energy and innovative, weaving the sounds of old and new from world folk, celtic, bluegrass, jazz, and classical performed rock energy and master musicianship.

This merry band is the culmination of the new millennial, sonic adventures of David Tiller (mandolin, tenor guitar, vocals), Enion Pelta-Tiller (five string violin, vocals), Daniel Plane (cello, vocals), Troy Robey (bass, vocals), and Ben Blecham (violin)

The show starts at 7:30 p.m., tickets are $10 and available at the door. Call Sue DuMond for information: 468-2753
