The Lopez Island Family Resource Center invites you to its annual fundraiser on Saturday, July 6, at 6 p.m. at Lopez Center for Community and the Arts. Preceding this, there will be an open house and tour of the lovely new LIFRC building from 1–3 p.m. that is open to the public.
This year’s “Summer Social” will be a festive celebration of the many ways your contributions positively impact the lives of our friends and neighbors.
It will begin with mingling and sipping your favorite beverage while enjoying jazz music performed by part-time Lopezian Joe Fotheringham with Haydon Hunskor, and Noah Mark.
Supper on the south lawn will feature tacos by El Taco ‘Bout It, pizza by Vita’s Wildly Delicious, and Korean sliders and green salad by Kim Bast. There will be offerings to satisfy the carnivore and vegetarian alike.
You are our Lopez Family, the heart of the family resource center’s name. Rather than our traditional literary event, we are focusing on you, our generous donors, to give you time to socialize, meet new neighbors, and share stories while enjoying food and music together.
There will be a very brief program centered around some exciting new community wellness opportunities and stories from islanders whose lives have been changed by your generosity.
Tickets are $65 and are going fast! Stop by the resource center office or the Lopez Bookshop to purchase tickets, or call the Resource Center at 360-468-4117. Visit the LIFRC website for more details: http://www.lifrc.org/. Many thanks to our many generous individual and business supporters and sponsors that make this event possible!
