What better way to celebrate National Poetry Month than by listening to friends and neighbors reading their original poetry? That’s just how Lopez Bookshop will celebrate poets and their craft at 7 p.m. on Friday, April 6. Thirteen Lopez poets will read at what the bookshop is calling a “Poetry Extravaganza.”

It will be an action-packed evening as the following poets each read for no more than five minutes: Marcia Barthelow, Linda Barton, Suzanne Berry, Brooks, Erika Davis, Ande Finley, Kathleen Holliday, Elizabeth Landrum, Kim Norton, Lorna Reese, Molly Swan-Sheeran, Terry Wean and Janet Yang. The lineup includes poets who’ve read before and have published collections that will be available that night. Also included are some prose writers whose poetry hasn’t been heard before.
