More October flu clinics available at PeaceHealth

Submitted by PeaceHealth Peace Island

The PeaceHealth Peace Island Family Practice clinic is holding flu shot clinics in the month of October for anyone aged six months and older. The vaccine is available for both established PeaceHealth patients and non-established patients.

The clinics will be Tuesday, Oct. 10, and Tuesday, Oct. 17, 9 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the conference room next to the clinic lobby. The clinic is located inside PeaceHealth Peace Island Medical Center, 1117 Spring St. in Friday Harbor.

Appointments are required; please call 360-378-1756. Additional clinics may be scheduled later in the month, based on vaccine supplies. The clinic has regular flu vaccine as well as a high dose vaccine for people 65 and over.

Patients with egg allergies can request the egg-free FluBlok vaccine at registration. PeaceHealth patients also have the option of getting the vaccine at their next primary care provider visit.

At this time the clinic does not have available doses of either the COVID-19 or RSV vaccines on hand.

About PeaceHealth:

PeaceHealth, based in Vancouver, Washington, is a not-for-profit Catholic health system offering care to communities in Washington, Oregon and Alaska. PeaceHealth has approximately 16,000 caregivers, a medical group practice with more than 1,100 providers and 10 medical centers serving both urban and rural communities throughout the Northwest. In 1890, the Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace founded what has become PeaceHealth. The Sisters shared expertise and transferred wisdom from one medical center to another, always finding the best way to serve the unmet need for healthcare in their communities. Today, PeaceHealth is the legacy of the founding Sisters and continues with a spirit of respect, stewardship, collaboration and social justice in fulfilling its Mission.
