“All good things must end,” the old saying goes.

And so it is with Lopez Sound, an A Cappella octet of Lopezians who decided to hang up the notes right before Christmas last year.  Their evolution over eight years, under the leadership of JC Marean, produced a  group whose aspiration for musical perfection was undaunted.

To have been a part of that group has truly been an honor for us all.  We faced not only the challenges we put before ourselves, but also those which Life placed before us, as in the untimely death of Leta  Marshall, one of our altos, our dear friend, and a definite driving force behind us all.

Probably our fondest memories are the concerts we presented at Christmastime in Center Church.  With candles lit and the room hushed and the magical acoustics of that building, the smiles on peoples’ faces will be always in our hearts.  And so, in order to leave behind a bit of ourselves for you to enjoy forever, we have created a CD called “Christmas Memories” of some of our most memorable Christmas songs. It is available for sale at LoCo, the Lopez Co-op of Fine Craft Artisans, in the Village next to the Lopez Winery tasting room.

Thank you, Lopez, for all of your years of support.
