This weekend of Sept. 5 and 6 will be the dates for the 13th annual Lopez Island Artists’ Studio Tour. This year’s tour is brought to the community again by Martin and Malay and 36 artists and craftspeople with the support of the local merchants. Consult the map, available in many of the Village shops, and follow the studio signs that are posted at each studio.

The artists invite the community into their studios and workplaces so that visitors can see the artists at work and in their own environment and purchase direct from the artists.

All visitors are encouraged to ask questions about the materials the artists use, the tools preferred and how artists find their inspiration. Some of the artists will be at work and will demonstrate their techniques. The maps available will chart out a wonderful treasure hunt around Lopez Island with fine art to be enjoyed at every stop.
