On Sunday, June 23, at 5 p.m., Lopez poet, Elizabeth Landrum, will discuss and read from her first published book of poems, “Shelf Life.” Each poem in the collection is a response to what is uncovered when dusting a bookcase — the books, photographs, saved items and objects of art that have inspired her to pause, to question and excavate the deeper meanings and poetry found in what surrounds us. The themes in these poems range from loss, memory and curiosity about family history to the value of art and significance found in small objects.
