Mercury Direct. Sun Moves to Taurus. Venus into Aries. Huh?

Sometimes I get tired of discussing what the planets are doing since a lot of folks say it goes over their heads. Okay, I’ll just stick to dynamics. The Full Moon will throw her light into music, law and strategy since she will shine in Libra. Mercury will come out of retrograde at the end of the week, so let’s make our best mistakes this week so we’ll have something to talk about next week! Oops, I’m talking about the planets. My mistake. It’s legal because Mercury is still retrograde!

We still have five planets in energetic Aries, with Venus replacing the Sun in that sign, so we’ll still have all kinds of interesting and potentially angry-making stuff to pay attention to unless we use that very same interest for something more fun. This is a good time to engage with kids because fun is their specialty!

I do hope that when this column goes to press we see spring…it’s mercilessly teasing us and making us mad!

Aries (March 21- April 19): But wait, there’s more! The Sun moves into Taurus this week, in your sector of Money…this means you might suddenly get a green thumb in terms of cash for a month, either through saving or selling or an extra job. Mercury comes out of retrograde this week in your sign, but there will be a backlash for a few days, so keep your head down until next week. Powerful Venus, ruler of self-worth, moves into your sign so there are still half of the planets in your sign. Spring is really, really trying to happen, it really is! One foot in front of the other, and for Pete’s sake, don’t let politicians get you all riled up. In fact, don’t let anything get you riled up!

Taurus (April 20 – May 20): The Sun moves into your sign this week, so happy birthday time! The life-giving Sun is your connection to the stability you crave, and although stability may only be day by day right now, you will find your footing by the end of this week because Mercury goes direct, yay! Your Ruler Venus moves into Aries this week, and this will be the key to the energy you need to drive your point home, to take something to the next level and to regain your equilibrium. You will see marked improvements in every way at the end of this week, and your efforts will pay off.

Gemini (May 21- June 20): The Sun moves into Taurus, your sector of Endings. Maybe now’s a good time to clean out the closets and reduce that clutter! No, you don’t have to get rid of your fairies and eye candy. Your Ruler Mercury comes out of retrograde at the end of the week, which will be a big relief! Venus moves into Aries to take the Sun’s place so we still have a big party going on in your sector of Friends/Goals. This week will be a good one to move your stuff around and make room for your thoughts to move freely; then whip up some kind of yummy casserole and invite cheery folks to dig in!

Cancer (June 21 – July 22): The Sun moves into Taurus this week, giving you that sense of feeling like there just might be something under your feet worth digging your claws into. Venus takes the Sun’s place in Aries, so a fresh approach to your own sense of well-being will be yours for the taking. There will still be five planets in Aries, at the top of your chart, so avoid bringing the weight of the world into your personal space. Mercury will come out of retrograde on Saturday! Things are beginning to look up, so cheer up and do a little dance…come to think of it, do a big dance, all night! Dance the night away for no reason other than to reconnect with happiness!

Leo (July 23 – August 22): The Sun moves into Taurus this week, which is at the top of your solar chart. This is a good thing, because you’ll feel the earth under your feet after this firestorm of stuff going on that has affected all of us. Replacing the Sun, in Aries, will be Venus, the powerhouse of self-worth. This will bring an entirely different dynamic to your repertoire and we will still have five planets in Aries and an elevated feeling of urgency. Mercury comes out of retrograde in Aries at the end of the week and none too soon! Finally, you’ll be able to get your hair done! Whew! Wait until next Monday though…you hate it when your mane is out of sorts.

Virgo (August 23 – September 21): Finally, this week the Sun moves into your fellow Earth sign Taurus. This will help you an awful lot, as all the fire energy has had you feeling like a gnarly old curmudgeon. This week is the beginning of things righting themselves, and Mercury comes out of retrograde on Saturday, so have a party! It’s been a rough month in many ways, but if you’ve allowed others to help you through it, maybe it’s all okay now. Venus moving into Aries still leaves us with five planets in that sign, but now your sector of Shared Assets/Intimacy changes expression because of Venus’ presence. Don’t take any guff! The Full Moon in your sector of money will bring you some good things!

Libra (September 22 – October 23): Saturn in your sign is keeping you practical as half of all the other planets oppose your sign! The Sun moves into Taurus this week, and this will make you feel a whole lot better! Couple that with the Full Moon in your sign and you’re ready to par-tay! Find something to make yourself laugh every day…from life, not TV. Laughter is so essential now, and it doesn’t take away from compassion, it lifts your spirits so that you can give even more. Mercury goes direct at the end of the week and everyone will breathe a sigh of relief.

Scorpio (October 24- November 22): The Full Moon in your sector of Endings will illuminate what it is you need to do to move on or take the next step. The Sun moves into Taurus this week, so your sector of Relationship should get some life into it! The icing on the cake is Mercury coming out of retrograde at the end of the week! See? Things are starting to look up in your personal life and that’s what’s important. You’re good at pulling in and withdrawing when you need to, so you’re not one of those signs we worry about unless someone makes you mad…then that person does need to worry a bit! Ha!

Sagittarius (November 23 – December 20): With your sector of Creative Expression on fire for some time now, if you haven’t done something with all this energy you’ve probably been depressed! Now, look. You’re one of those types who gets really creative when you’re bored, then you have an adventure! Why not get that energy out in a way that will really make you feel good and…wait, a minute. You’ve never been one to listen to a lecture, so I won’t even go there. Mercury goes direct at the end of the week, yay! No more goofy weird stuff and clumsiness! The Sun moves into Taurus, the Full Moon is in Libra so you’ll have an illuminating week with your goals, and let’s just leave it at that!

Capricorn (December 21 – January 20): The Full Moon is in your sector of Highest Potential, giving you a fresh perspective on your direction. We always seem to need a purpose, so your purpose will be to color outside the lines in a way that creates a pleasant distraction. Just don’t get arrested! The Sun moves into your companion Earth sign Taurus this week and you’ll feel a whole lot better! Venus will move into Aries, so we will still have five planets in this no-patience sign. Don’t engage in activities involving sharp objects! Oh, and by the way, Mercury comes out of retrograde at the end of the week! Looks like you’re going to have a milkshake in your near future, like the weekend!

Aquarius (January 21 – February 20): Mercury comes out of retrograde the end of this week, so hurry up and make your greatest mistakes now! Some shifting and changing of energy for the week will give you all kinds of new ideas and solutions…the Full Moon in your fellow Air sign Libra will make your mistakes so creative that they will reach out far and wide, giving bored people something to do for a full two weeks! The Sun moving into abundant Taurus will light up your home life, probably with dirt all over the floor from your garden which should be taking off right about now, assuming it doesn’t snow again. Powerful Venus moves into Aries, keeping with the five planets in one sign balance that we’ve all grown to know and love. You’re magic wand is about to have a field day!

Pisces (February 21 – March 20): Mercury comes out of retrograde at the end of the week, so get ready to rumble! This week the Sun moves into patient Taurus, giving you the ability to offer some patience to yourself and everyone around you. Powerful Venus moves from your sign into Aries, keeping up with the five planets in Aries trend, and this puts your sector of Money once again into a swirling, amazing situation. Do what it takes, gentle Pisces! If you’re in need, do what it takes to pull yourself up. If you’re in the position of giving, give with discernment.
