Ecological Overshoot Action speaker series

All are welcome to the Ecological Overshoot Action Speaker Series, a follow-up to the Climate Action Speaker Series recently hosted by the Madrona Institute here in San Juan County. This is a good opportunity for regional climate and environmental groups to learn about ecological overshoot, how climate change fits into ecological overshoot, and strategies for organizing to protect the environment.

Join us for three evenings of inspiration, collaboration, and networking! Free and open to the community!

William E. Rees will describe what ecological overshoot is and talk about our ecological footprint on Nov 14; Jeremy Jiménez will talk about why we should broaden our focus beyond only climate change on Nov 28; and Max Wilbert will present about his experience organizing groups to work to protect the environment and halt ecological overshoot on Dec 12.

All meetings will be by Zoom, starting at 5:30 p.m. PT.
