The Celia Rosenberger and Friends Classical Concert on May 28, 5 p.m., is the culmination of the

day’s workshop for adult string players. The faculty will perform solos and duets, and the workshop participants, who are

mostly from Lopez and Orcas, will play the pieces. The first movement is from Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto number three.

“I am very excited to have Matt Rehfeldt, Northwest cellist, perform one of the fantastic unaccompanied cello suites by Bach,” said Rosenberger. “I want every Bach lover on Lopez to hear him play.”

Sharyn Peterson, a conductor and violinist, will play a duet with Rehfelt. Many children from the

San Juans have attended her summer camp for middle and high schoolers.

Rosenberger will be play tow duets with Mother Felicitas Curti of Our Lady of the Rock Monastery on Shaw and Lopez’s Lexi Taylor.

“The concert will only last one hour because of ferry constraints but it will be a memorable hour,” said Rosenberger.

A $10 donation is requested, and all proceeds are used to cover expenses.
