On Friday, May 3 at 7 p.m., Lopez Bookshop will host Barbara Carver as she presents Kenya, a Lemayian Journey. Barbara will share stories and photographs on philanthropic work in and around Nairobi. She visited schools, health facilities, occupational training centers, and a wildlife reserve. As a retired educator, Barbara most enjoyed meeting teachers and students: “Being with the students … was another gift of inspiration and hope. These young people are so filled with happiness, spirit, strong work ethics, and love.” This free event is open to all. Please join us for an evening of beauty, inspiration, and hope.
