EECP — look it up on your computer and it says Enhanced External Counter Pulsation. Well, what does this all mean? I don’t really care about the technical interpretation, the result is the most important thing to me. I am Doug Myers. I am 89 years young, and have had two heart attacks and a stroke. Being a diabetic is one of my bigger challenges as I have had limited feelings in my feet for several years. So when I meet Steven and he told me about the possibility of getting the feeling back, I was excited. You see about a year ago because my property on Lopez Island, everything is either up or down, and when cleaning up years of debris, I lost my balance and fell down the hill and landed on the driveway. I had a compression fracture in my T-9 vertebra.

As you may know, the most common progressions for diabetics are, they lose feeling in their feet, due to the lack of circulation, which leads to amputations. This is a sad situation as most doctors can only monitor the situation as it deteriorates.

I now have feeling back in my feet, which gives me balance and the confidence to walk with one foot in front of the other like a normal person, not like a duck, because I didn’t want to fall. After completing my 30 sessions I needed to go to the clinic to check up on a sore on my leg. At this time I asked to have my feet check. After checking my feet for feeling, they noticed that I had some feeling which I had not before and that the sore was healing more rapidly than usual. The other side benefits were that I am not as easily winded. When I used to walk to my truck, after walking the 20-plus feet uphill to my truck. I would have to rest because I was out of breath. After about 10 sessions, I noticed that I was no longer winded when I got to my truck. I now can do more around the house, which makes the wife happy.

Another funny thing that happened is one of the sessions, about the fifth one, Steve turned up the pressure and when I got off the machine my right knee felt different, not so stiff, kind of like it had more lubrication. The other thing that happened is that I am breathing through my nose not through my mouth like I have done most of my life.

I am very happy with my results and have recommended this circulation therapy to others suffering from different circulation related diseases.
