Friday Harbor: The Whale Museum will present its last Pod Nod of the season on Friday July 31. With the theme “Conservation”, young ocean lovers ages 6 to 10 will learn how to value the marine environment through art projects, science labs, music, games, and the popular flashlight tour of the Exhibit Hall. This “pajama party” sleepover will be led by an experienced Museum Educator with assistance from other adult professionals and students. The Pod Nod will begin at 6:30 p.m., with pick-up the next morning at 8:30 a.m. A bedtime snack and light breakfast are included.

The cost for this Pod Nod is $39 for children/grandchildren of Whale Museum members. The cost for non-members is $49 per Pod Nod. A limited number of scholarships are available through a private donor, and the Matt Johnson Memorial Scholarship. Glow-in-the-dark orca t-shirts are available at a discounted cost of $12 for your Pod Nodder to wear during the flashlight tour! For more information or to register a child in a Pod Nod, please call The Whale Museum at (360) 378-4710 extension 23 or email cindy@whalemuseum.org. Pre-registration is required to ensure a great experience for the Pod Nodders as well as a high adult to child ratio.
