The Great Transformation
What we need to make clear is that what’s going on now can’t be blamed on anyone or anything. We can’t goad anyone into peace or abundance or success because it isn’t real. With this transformation happening, we have to ride it out and look after each other. If we can step away and look at the experiment that life is, that democracy is and the spin we put on it collectively, I think it’s time to say, “Back to the drawing board.” This entire process truly began in 1998 so it’s not brand new. We just didn’t see it. Now it’s in our faces, shouting at us. Some things really need to change around here, but we can’t do that until the playing field has been leveled, and we don’t truly know how that is going to happen. Of course we’re nervous. We have every right to be.
We’re getting ready to wrap up summer and say goodbye to it, school will start soon, the tourists will go away, and just like every year, some things are normal. Many things are not. Adjusting to the “new normal” is a process and rugged individualism only makes for loneliness. There are no answers right now because all the cards haven’t fallen yet.
Self-confidence means nothing unless we can actually make something happen or do something. Our “happy ending, feel-good” society has run its course, and now it has to change because it’s time. I’m only saying what I see, not casting anything into stone. We have to get a collective spine and ditch the “I’m entitled” attitude. In the big picture, no one is entitled to anything even if they were born into entitlement. So, let’s push on together, do what good we can.
Aries (March 21- April 19): Esteem-building Venus in your sector of creative expression/children is about the only thing keeping you sane right now; everything else up there in the heavens is pretty messed up, snarled, tangled, whatever you want to call it. As you can see, everyone has to adjust to a new normal that is a whole lot simpler than before. This is where you come in. You can do it first and do it with flair! Mercury comes out of retrograde next week, so hang tight.
Taurus (April 20 – May 20): No two ways about it, you are being denied some of your comforts because of the stupid direction the market has taken. You’re not being denied all of them, though. Isn’t this “new normal” an adventure?! Whether or not you are a casualty of what’s happening, the healthier thing to think is, “I sure won’t do that again!” That’s better than looking for someone to blame. One dainty hoof at a time, Little Bull. We’ll get through it! Mercury comes out of retrograde next week, so relief of sorts is on the way.
Gemini (May 21- June 20): Being ever the social animal, you have many opportunities to be of service and to spread some cheer and distract folks away from habitual negative thinking. If it becomes too much, though, you know what to do. With your Ruler Mercury still retrograde until next week, you really can’t do much forward movement, so be okay with line dancing for now. As long as you’re moving, you’re happy.
Cancer (June 21 – July 22): You’re one of the ones suffering greatly from the Cardinal T-Square that just won’t quit, and now that it’s taken the world by storm, just hunker down and stay close to your loved ones and look after each other. Find some low-tech solutions and methods for getting things done and don’t feel entitled because that’s very annoying. Your ability to love is huge, so give it and receive it and stay focused on it.
Leo (July 23 – Aug. 22): We’re trying very hard to be happy! The new normal is rough to bear, but if you’re one of the fortunate ones who isn’t in a period of a serious loss of some kind, you’re still having snags and snarls due to Mercury going backwards in your sign. You may feel that nobody gets it. Right now, they don’t; communicate with as few words as possible, such as “yes” and “no.” Then take it from there. The Great Transformation is taking place and it’s not over ‘til it’s over. Get lots of hugs and give them, too!
Virgo (Aug. 23 – Sept. 21): Darling. It’s time to distinguish between “personal worth” and “self-worth.” Don’t confuse or distort them. Whatever is manifesting right in front of your eyes isn’t your fault, and if you made a decision you now regret, you’ll have to chalk it up to experience. Always watch your intentions and motivations. You can’t guess other people’s either because no one really has their head on straight right now. You are the sign of the Harvest. Gather and stash and make your list of who you will share your stash with, then you won’t worry.
Libra (Sept. 22 – Oct. 23): The greatest unfairness is rearing its ugly head in the world and it is what it is. When we try to force fairness it makes us weak. It really does! Now, look…your strategic skills serve you and others beautifully when you’re on top of the game. Right now though, with Mercury retrograde and this horrendous T-Square tension making the Great Transformation accelerate, you may have to strategize in the moment. You may not have the time to dither in terms of decisions or worry about what other people will think. If you know what needs to be done, do it. It’s that simple.
Scorpio (Oct. 24- Nov. 22): Some stuff is just too broken to ever repair; when that happens, we have the choice to throw it away or turn it into something else. This is where creative thinking of old comes in! With this massive paradigm shift happening, there is plenty of angst and stress to go around, but don’t get caught up in it. History is simply repeating itself and consider yourself lucky to be living in such historic times. Document stuff because it’s useful. Mercury goes into direct motion next week in your sector of Career, so just hang tight for now and use your best coping skills.
Sagittarius (Nov. 23 – Dec. 20): If you’ve overloaded yourself with projects, don’t be surprised; you don’t like to sit still for very long and what you really need to be careful of is ditching your commitments. Don’t make any! This week calls for flexibility so don’t make arrangements with anyone who is going to get their knickers in a twist if you don’t come through because this will harm your reputation. Mercury goes direct next week and that will help somewhat, but be sure you can come through on what you promise; people need you!
Capricorn (Dec. 21 – Jan. 20): Are you depressed because no one’s paying attention to your “I’m in charge” hat? Don’t take it personally, Cappie. Right now folks only have a minute of being in charge then everything changes. Your strongest ally is benevolent Jupiter shining his grace on your from your sector of Creative Expression/Children. This brings out a feeling of stability for you from a deep level, and that is what you can rely on. Listen, consider, and observe. Then you’ll know what to do. Mercury will go direct next week, which will ease some things but not all.
Aquarius (January 21 – February 20): Yes, it’s pretty ugly right now. One thing you mustn’t do is indulge in negative thinking, no matter how “realistic” you think you’re being. Your mind follows a different path than most, and where you are focused is what will occur so watch yourself! Sometimes a major change is just what we need to kick us out of bad habits and on the world stage, bad habits are being broken in all directions! Use what you know to be true for yourself but don’t try to pawn that off onto someone else because it’s yours! Mercury goes direct next week and you’ll be able to think better.
Pisces (Feb. 21 – March 20): Things really are beginning to go fast. Your still waters run deep and you really don’t like to have to find a new level, but dang, the container keeps changing and making storms on your surface! Don’t you hate that?! Get a different perspective and just let go. Some things are simply a waste of energy and need to be jettisoned, so go inside your head and find out what’s making you cranky that you have no control over. Once you find that thing, ignore it. Mercury goes direct next week, so by the month’s end you’ll feel better.
